DIVISIONS

DIRECTORS

The management consists of the team leader, 4 directors (2 technical and 2 management), who are the point of contact for all areas of the team, and the layout manager. Their job is to organize the design, development, and implementation of the car. In addition, they are in charge of static events during races.

AERODYNAMICS

The Aerodynamics division designs and develops the vehicle’s aerodynamic solutions, from CFD simulations to experimental validation. Its goal is to improve the efficiency of the aerodynamic package, ensuring a perfect balance between performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

VEHICLE DYNAMICS

This division focuses on studying and simulating the dynamic behavior of the vehicle. Through analysis and computational tools, they provide input on how to optimize the dynamic behavior of the vehicle.

CHASSIS

The Chassis division is responsible for the complete design of the vehicle’s monocoque frame. By employing CAD and FEM modeling tools and studying composite materials, particularly carbon fiber, the team develops a lightweight and resistant structure that ensures both performance and safety.

Mechanical Structures

This division is responsible for the design and optimization of the vehicle’s structural components, ensuring strength, lightness, and reliability. Using CAD modeling and FEM analysis tools, the team studies production processes and the most suitable technological solutions for the chassis and load-bearing parts.

DRIVER INTERFACE

This division is responsible for the development of systems that allow the driver to interface with the vehicle, such as the steering wheel, pedals, seat, and safety harness. The goal is to combine ergonomics, safety, and precision in the design of essential driving components.

DRIVERLESS

The Driverless division develops and maintains the autonomous driving system, integrating software, sensors, and controllers to enable the vehicle to operate without a driver. Its activities range from data collection and analysis to the development of localization, mapping, and fault-tolerant systems.

ELECTRONICS

This division designs and develops the vehicle’s electronic hardware, from circuit schematics and simulations to PCB layout, component selection, soldering, and assembly. It manages the integration of electronic boards, sensors, and wiring, ensuring that all components work together effectively. Through testing, troubleshooting, and validation, it ensures reliable operation and accurate measurements across the vehicle’s onboard systems.

POWERTRAIN

The area deals with the development and optimization of the vehicle’s propulsion system, taking care of the selection and integration of components from the battery to the motors. It analyzes the behavior of the powertrain through tests and simulations, with the goal of maximizing efficiency and performance.

COST REPORT

The sector draws up the bill of materials and the development of a cost model that assigns a monetary value to the machine components. Like the Business Plan fellows, Cost Report members also participate in an event, the Cost Report event, in the race of the season.

BUSINESS PLAN

Members develop a business idea for a prototype machine, and then create strategic and

marketing plans. They aim to be as prepared as possible for participation in the Business Plan

event that will be held at all races in the season.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATION

The sector members are responsible for enhancing and promoting the image of the team and its projects. Through communication strategies and brand promotion activities, they bring the group’s identity to the outside world. They also take care of brand design, livery, web presence, and much more.

LOGISTICS

This sector deals with the management of relationships between companies

and teams, from a purchasing, ordering, and sponsorship perspective.

FIRMWARE

This division develops the embedded software that controls the vehicle’s electronic systems. Using C/C++ and Linux development environments, it programs microcontrollers, implements control logic, and manages communication between onboard devices. Its work includes debugging, testing, and hardware integration to ensure precise and reliable system operation.
